## Why xet7 does not offer paid hosting for Wekan
- xet7's customers [pay xet7 for features, fixes and support etc](https://wekan.team) for exactly the reason that Wekan source code and updates are free
- You can self-host and have control of their own data
- Wekan is used at hospitals, private offline networks, etc
- xet7 does not need responsibility for someone elses critical data, and getting GDPR violation sanction payment demands
- Anyone that uses Wekan is responsible to do at least [daily backups](https://github.com/wekan/wekan/wiki/Backup)
- There are already many hosting providers that offer Wekan hosting, backups etc.
